Copper mesh is typically produced using either plain weave or twill weave methods, with mesh counts reaching up to 200 mesh per linear inch, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications. Standard copper mesh rolls are generally available in lengths of 30 meters or 100 feet, and can also be cut to meet specific size requirements.


Common applications of copper wire mesh include RFI and EMI shielding, gaskets, window screens, and filtration of gases and liquids.


Copper Wire Mesh Types

Copper mesh is a metal mesh product made from high-quality copper wire through processes such as weaving and welding. It comes in various specifications and weaving styles, with plain weave and twill weave being the most common. Copper mesh can also be categorized into brass mesh, copper mesh, and phosphor bronze mesh, all of which are metal meshes made from copper-based alloys.


Copper mesh is manufactured from pure copper or high-copper alloys, with each type offering unique properties and applications:

Red Copper: Purer than brass, it provides superior corrosion resistance and excellent machinability, making it suitable for demanding applications.

Brass: An alloy of copper and zinc, brass offers high strength and good corrosion resistance, ideal for applications requiring both wear resistance and durability.

Phosphor Bronze: This copper-phosphorus alloy features enhanced corrosion resistance, strength, and elasticity, thanks to the addition of phosphorus.

Copper wire mesh Features

1. Copper wire mesh maintains stable conductivity with a typical electrical conductivity of 97% IACS, suitable for electromagnetic shielding, grounding, and circuit connections.

2. With a thermal conductivity of approximately 401 W/m·K, it can be used in heat dissipation components, battery packs, and electronic devices to improve cooling efficiency.

3. The natural oxide layer on copper provides protection in humid or chemical environments, offering higher corrosion resistance compared to standard steel mesh.

4. Tensile strength ranges from 200 to 250 MPa, providing wear resistance while maintaining sufficient flexibility for bending, stamping, and welding operations.

5. Available in mesh counts from 1 to 200, wire diameters from 0.03 mm to 2.0 mm, widths from 0.5 to 1.5 m, and lengths from 10 to 50 m, making it suitable for industrial filtration, electronics, electrical applications, and structural support.
